What are the requirements for a driving license?
• Minimum driving age – 21 (for some car classes – 25);
• Maximum driving age – 75;
• Minimum driving experience – 2 years.
In order to avoid a possible refusal in providing a booked car, we strongly recommend to complete an international driving license in time.
What bank cards are accepted for payment?
The car hire may be paid by VISA Classic/Gold, AMEX, MASTERCARD. Two credit cards are required for some of the luxury class cars.
Visa Electron, Maestro and Diners cards are not accepted for payment.
Can I pay for my booking in cash?
No, cash is not accepted. You can pay for your booking only by VISA Classic/Gold, AMEX, MASTERCARD.
Can I pay by a business-card?
No, only driver's personal credit card may be used to pay for the booking.
Can I pay for the booking by other person's card?
Yes, but in that case this person should be registered as an additional driver and must be present when receiving a car.
How do I know where to pick up the car?
The name of a car hire company and a pick up address will be specified in your voucher after the reservation is confirmed. The voucher will be sent to you by e-mail after the prepayment is made.
Is a pledged sum blocked on a credit card?
Yes, according to international requirements, car hire company blocks a pledged sum on customer's credit card at the time of picking up the car.
How quickly will the deposit be unblocked?
It takes from 3 to 28 days to unblock the deposit. In some cases we recommend you to get in touch with your bank in order to quicken the unblocking process.
Is it possible to cut down the deposit?
Some companies provide such an opportunity. It is possible to cut down the deposit by half or completely by purchasing a super insurance.
Is it possible to pick up the car after the specified time?
You must appear at the car rental location on schedule, but sometimes you may be an hour late. In case of a delay please contact the car hire company or economybookings.com to specify the pick up time.
May I pick up the car out of hours?
Yes, but the car hire company may require an additional charge for picking up the car out of hours.
Is it necessary to specify the flight number?
If you pick up the car at the airport, we strongly recommend you to specify the flight number at the time of making a booking. This information is important for a car hire company in order to prepare the car in time. Sometimes the car can be delivered to the airport. If you don't know your flight number at the time of booking, then inform about it at least in 72 hours before picking up.
May I pay the whole sum when picking up the car?
In order to guarantee the cost of the rental and the presence of a car you must make a prepayment, the amount of which depends on the car hire company terms and conditions. The prepayment amount will be mentioned on the website after you choose the car.
How is currency converted when paying?
All payments made in national currency are converted according to the local currency rate. Economybookings.com is not responsible for the currency conversion made by the bank.
How can I know the brand, color and fuel type of the car?
According to the car rental terms, the brand, color and fuel type of the car are not guaranteed. The car brand is specified in a booking confirmation for the information purpose. We can inform the car hire company about your preferences in order to take all your wishes into account.
What is the fuel politics of the car hire company?
The cars are provided with a full tank almost in all countries and must be dropped off with the same amount of fuel. The customer must pay for the missing fuel according to a fuel tariff of the car hire company. In Spain, Portugal and USA the cars may be provided with a completely prepaid tank – the cost of a full tank will be added to the rental cost and must be paid for when picking up. In that case it is not necessary to fill the tank with fuel when dropping it off.
Is it possible to deliver the car to a hotel?
If you inform beforehand, then delivery to the specified address is possible. When you book a car, mention it in "comments".
When and how is it possible to book and pay for extras?
All extras must be booked at a time of making a car reservation. They should be paid for at the pick up location according to rates pointed out in confirmation. Economybookings.com is not responsible for availability of extras so please make sure they are on hand.
Can I refuse from some of the extras when picking up the car?
You can both order specific extras additionally and refuse from them when picking up the car.
How many days before the rental can I change my booking?
Changes may be accepted via e-mail or by phone not later than 72 hours before the start of a rental and the sum is calculated according to existing rates and availability of cars at the moment of making changes. We recommend you to check all the data carefully before booking and have in mind that if you make changes several days before the start of a rental we cannot guarantee its confirmation.
How can I change my booking? Should I make a new booking?
It is not necessary to make a new booking. You should contact economybookings.com either via e-mail or by phone to make changes. Your booking will be changed and confirmation will be sent to you by e-mail.
Should I pay for making changes?
You can change your booking for free and you need to contact us either via e-mail or by phone. In this case you pay just a difference for extension of the reservation or extras adding.
Is it possible to return the car ahead of time?
Yes, but if you drop off the car before the specified time you won't get money for the unused time.
Who is responsible for fines and violations?
You are responsible for all fines and violations during a car hire. The car hire company has a right to surcharge you with the sum of fine and administration fees.
May I contact you if I have problems with picking up the car?
Yes, you may contact us by phones which you can find on our website. We work 24/7 and support our customers before, during and after the rental.
How can I cancel my booking?
If you'd like to cancel your booking please contact us via email reservations@bookinggroup.com or fax. Phone cancellations cannot be accepted.
Will I get my prepayment back if I cancel the reservation?
Cancellation Policy: a cancellation fee is applied by EconomyBookings.com to any reservation canceled by the client.
1. Cancellation Policy for reservations with partial payment:
1.1. When canceling at least 48 hours in advance of your rental, administration charge of 25EUR/33USD is not refundable. If prepayment sum charged upon confirmation is greater than that, the rest balance will be refunded within 30 days upon cancellation date.
1.2. When canceling less than 48 hours in advance of your rental, charge of the full prepayment amount is not refundable. The cost of Refundable Excess and Full Excess Protection extras will be refunded in full within 30 days upon cancellation date.
2. Cancellation Policy for full prepayment reservations:
2.1. When canceling at least 48 hours in advance of your rental, administration charge of 25EUR/33USD is not refundable. The remaining sum is refunded within 30 days upon cancellation date.
2.2. When canceling less than 48 hours in advance of your rental, administration charge from 12.5 to 25% of the reservation amount is not refundable (depending on car rental company Terms & Conditions). The remaining amount as well as the cost of Refundable Excess and Full Excess Protection extras will be refunded within 30 days upon cancellation date.
2.3. Cancellation Policy after the rental period has already started (e.g. if the client fails to appear at the car rental location at a specified time):

3.1. Under condition of full prepayment administration charge from 12.5 to 25% of the reservation amount* as well as the cost of Refundable Excess and Full Excess Protection extras are not refundable (depending on car rental company Terms & Conditions). The remaining sum will be refunded within 30 days upon cancellation date.
*In some cases, depending on car rental company Terms & Conditions, the administration charge may vary being equal up to 100% of the prepayment amount.
4. Cancellation Policy providing that client ordered Cancel Protection:
4.1. When canceling partial and full prepayment reservations at least 48 hours in advance of your rental: prepayment will be refunded in full within 30 days upon cancellation date except for the cost of the Cancel Protection — € 9.40.
4.2. When canceling partial prepayment reservations less than 48 hours in advance of your rental: the administration charge in the amount of full prepayment sum as well as the cost of Cancel Protection — € 9.40 — are not refundable. The cost of Refundable Excess and Full Excess Protection extras will be refunded within 30 days upon cancellation date.
4.3. When canceling full prepayment reservations less than 48 hours in advance of your rental: administration charge from 12.5 to 25% of the reservation cost (depending on car rental company Terms & Conditions) as well as the cost of Cancel Protection — € 9.40 — are not refundable. The remaining sum and the cost of Refundable Excess and Full Excess Protection extras will be refunded within 30 days upon cancellation date.
